Here, I’ve used harp as the basis, then added two different nylon-strung guitar sounds, a celeste and some light percussion. With the very full sound of the harp, I found that the guitars have a bite to them that cuts through, whilst the celeste blends in nicely, having a strong attack and a lot of body in the sustain. The percussion serves to add a little extra definition and emphasis whilst handily obscuring the fact that the guitars are sequenced and quantised.
The style seems to be quite courtly and historical, though with a slightly contemporary flavour. This might suit schools dance quite well and will probably end up being used in that capacity in the not-too-distant future.
